’Twas brillig and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe..’

Brillig is a long asymmetric triangle designed to play with colour. The shawl is worked sideways, in stripes, with bands of alternating garter and reverse garter, creating an intriguing counter-stripe effect, which interacts in fun ways with short colour run yarns such as the TWF handspun pictured.

And it’s reversible!

Ideal for showing off two or more complementary colours, a solid paired with a short colour run or variegated yarn, or two colour change yarns striped together

Adaptable to any yarn weight by adjusting needle size to your preferred gauge.

Suits any yardage, just continue until you run out of yarn.

Can be worked entirely from written pattern, or from charts with some notes.

My project notes are here.

The name and quote come from Jabberwocky, by Lewis Carrol.
