The cowl is knit in the round and there is no seaming at the end as you finish with a three-needle-bind off.

You need two long (32-40 inches) circular needles size 2-2.5 mm (US0-1.5) and a crochet hook (for the provisional cast on) approximatley the same size as the needles.

You need 3 balls of the background color (green in the photo) and 2.5 balls of the contrast color (pink and red in the photo) if the yarn you use comes in 100 gram-skeins like the Zauberball 100 used for the cowl.
