This is a large cowl that you can wrap double around your neck. It can easily be sized down by making fewer pattern repeats around.

The cowl is knit double with a different pattern on the inside.
The pattern on the front of the colour is a bit more complicated, while the pattern on the inside more repetetive and easier to memorize.

You need 3 skeins of the pattern colour which is Zauberball 100 (no 1701) and 4 skeins of the background colour – which is plain black and can be substituted with any sock yarn that knits up to the same gauge. The yarn used in the cowl has a yardage of 546 yards (500 meters) to 100 grams.

The needles used are two circular 2.5 mm (US 0–1.5) needles, 32–40 inches long.
