Brouie Cowl is a pattern inspired by my two Fur Babies Bruce and Louie as they were cuddling on top of some Halloween Decorations.

This design was deliberately made with yarn from Knit Picks. I wanted to design something that was budget friendly and would give you the most bang for your buck. If you chose to make one for yourself and one for your Bestie, just purchase 2 balls of Palette and 1 of the Hawthorne Speckle.

This cowl is both soft but has a gentle toothiness from the Palette yarn. The colors remind me of pop rocks and the stark contrast of many Halloween’s spent dressed as a Witch. But the colors can easily be changed to match any holiday or just to use your favorite colors.

This pattern is beginner friendly and does come with visuals in the pattern body for some of the techniques used.

I hope this brings you some kitschy comfort this Autumn or whatever holiday you choose to make this for.
