Der Budburst Scarf ist ein langes, schmales Tuch mit Verzopfungen. Es wechseln sich immer ein kleiner Zopf und ein größerer Zopf ab. Das Muster des Budburst Scarfs ist angelehnt an meine Budburst Mitts, lediglich die größeren Zöpfe sind leicht abgewandelt. Der Scarf kann also als schöne Ergänzung zu den Mitts getragen werden.

Die Anleitung enthält sowohl Charts, als auch ausgeschriebene Anleitungen für jeden Abschnitt.

Gestrickt wird von Spitze zu Spitze. Bis zu einer gewissen Höhe werden am linken Rand gleichmäßig Zunahmen gestrickt. Danach folgt ein gerader Mittelteil, welcher aber optional auch weggelassen werden kann, sofern nicht genug Garn zur Verfügung steht.
Nach dem Mittelteil werden am linken Rand wieder gleichmäßig Abnahmen gestrickt.

An den Rändern wird links und rechts ein I-Cord-Rand direkt mitgestrickt.

Meinen Budburst Scarf habe ich aus 3 Knäuel Cardiff Cashmere Classic (insgesamt 330m) gestrickt aber es eignet sich jedes andere Garn. Der Scarf ist perfekt um Stashgarn abzubauen. Die Anleitung enthält dafür genaue Angaben, sofern dir mehr oder weniger als 330m zur Verfügung stehen.

Die fertigen Maße meines Scarfs sind:
Länge von Spitze zu Spitze: ca 160m
Breite des Mittelteils: ca 20cm

Nadelstärke:
3,5

Maschenprobe nach dem Waschen und Spannen:
36 M/35 R auf 10cm im Zopfmuster

Die Maschenprobe ist nicht zwingend erforderlich. Beachte allerdings, dass Abweichungen die benötigte Garnmenge und die Größe des Scarfs beeinflussen.

The Budburst Scarf is a long, narrow scarf with cables. It alternates between smaller cables and larger cables. The pattern of the Budburst Scarf is based on my Budburst Mitts, only the larger cables are slightly modified. The scarf can therefore be worn as a beautiful complement to the mitts.

The pattern includes both charts and written instructions for each section.

It is knitted from tip to tip. Even increases are worked along the left edge up to a certain height. This is followed by a straight middle part. This can optionally be omitted if there isn’t enough yarn available.

After the middle part, even decreases are worked along the left edge.

An I-cord edge is knitted directly along the left and right edges.

I knitted my Budburst Scarf with three balls of Cardiff Cashmere Classic (330m in total), but any other yarn will work. The scarf is perfect for using up stash yarn. The pattern includes detailed instructions for this, provided you have more or less than 330m of yarn available.

The finished measurements of my sample scarf are:
Length from tip to tip: approx. 160m
Width of the middle part: approx. 20cm

Needle size:
3,5

Gauge after washing and blocking:
36 sts/35 rows per 10cm in cable stitch

The gauge is not required. However, please note that variations will affect the yarn quantity needed and the size of the scarf.
