This pattern is for a Buffalo Plaid Trapper style hat. The pattern includes sizing for both Toddler (1-3) and Child (4-10). Pattern calls for Bernat Premium worsted weight yarn, but any worsted weight yarn will do. Pattern also calls for Fantastic Faux Fur yarn by Luv, but Lionbrand has similar yarn that will work. You will need about 50yds each of the 3 main colors, black, burgundy, and red, and between 25 and 50yds of the faux fur yarn, depending on which decorative elements you choose. You’ll also need 2-3 coordinating buttons: 2 x 1”, and 1 x .25-.50” button, along with a sewing needle/thread. The pattern is intermediate level, requiring knowledge of how to do color changes mid-row, carrying yarn, familiarity with buffalo plaid color changes, and simple sc and dc stitches. The hat is worked from the top down.
