Bunny from the farm is a cozy, cottagecore knitted toy. This sweet little bunny, wearing a sweater, skirt, tiny apron and a headscarf will make a lovely handmade gift, decoration, or a companion.
This pattern is suitable for intermediate knitters. It’s also a scrap friendly project :)

Size:
With same gauge you will have a bunny 20cm or 7.8inch (with
ears). If you want bigger bunny you can just use bigger needles (and yarn) but mind that you need to use same weight yarn for clothes.

Materials:

  • 2.5 mm (US 1½) double-pointed needles (DPNs) set of 5,
  • 100m of yarn that meets the gauge. I used for beige bunny “Alize Lanagold 800” in colour 05, and
Schachenmayr Elegant mohair in 005 colour, hold together. For white bunny “Alize Lanagold Fine” in colour 55.
  • Same gauge yarn for clothes, for example for sweater I’m using “Drops kidsilk” in colour 36 - 2 strings hold together, for skirt “YarnArt Ideal” in colour 241, for apron “Alize Lanagold Fine” in colour 55.
  • tapestry needle,
  • 4 stitch markers,
  • 5mm safety pin 2 eyes,
  • stuffing for toys (for example polyfill)
  • scrap yarn,
  • crochet hook 2.5mm (for ribbons in apron and headscarf)
  • scissors.

Techniques:

  • CO - cast on,
  • k - Knit,
  • p - Purl,
  • p2tog - purl 2 sts together,
  • k2tog - knit 2 sts together,
  • ssk - slip, slip, knit,
  • M1L - make 1 knit left leaning,
  • M1R - make 1 knit right leaning,
  • sl - slip 1 stitch purlwise,
  • Jeny’s surprisingly stretchy bind off,
  • kitchener stitch.
