Buster Bluth C2C cushion Arrested Development
Your home decor is a great way of sharing your interests with your guests. When they see this niche Arrested Development cushion hanging out on your sofa, bed or sofa bed, you’ll know whether the guest has good taste by their response. It’ll be just as amusing when you have to explain the reference for the twentieth time.
If your co-habitee won’t permit this kind of pop culture fun as decoration, just make one for your grateful pet!
The front of the cushion shows a picture of Buster and the back says ‘Hey brother’.
This pattern is created using the corner to corner method. I have included an explanation of this method with step-by-step photos in the pattern, as well as a full colour chart to crochet this specific cushion. The crochet stitches needed for this pattern are
- chain stitch, slip stitch
- Half treble (half double crochet in US)
- Double crochet (single crochet in US)
Finished piece is 45cm x 45cm. The brands I used are below but you can use any 4 ply yarn.
- Orange - Patons Baby Smiles Fairytale Fab 4 Ply Tangerine - 5 x 50g
- Light beige - Patons Baby Smiles Fairytale Fab 4 Ply Beige - 1 x 50g
- Dark beige - Patons Baby Smiles Fairytale Fab 4 Ply Camel - 1 x 50g
- Violet - Patons Baby Smiles Fairytale Fab 4 Ply Violet - 1 x 50g
- White - Patons Baby Smiles Fairytale Fab 4 Ply White - 1 x 50g
- Brown - Adriafil Azzura 4 Ply Brown - 1 x 50g
- Light pink - Sirdar Snuggly 4 Ply Peach - 1 x 50g (only scraps needed)
The pattern is written using English crochet terminology but there is a conversion table for US terms. The patterns for the front and back are only in chart form. A written equivalent of each chart is not provided.
Other materials required are a 2.5mm crochet hook (or size needed to achieve required tension), orange 36cm zip, a 45cm by 45cm cushion filler and a darning needle for sewing up.
Although intended as a corner to corner crochet pattern, this chart could also be used for cross stitch or intarsia crochet, although instructions are not included for this.
If you have any questions before purchasing, please send me a message and I’ll be happy to help.
