Dwight Schrute C2C cushion
I wrote this pattern in honour of a man who can raise and lower his cholesterol at will, and is faster than 80% of all snakes. Now you can impress your friends with a cushion that is better than any cushion has ever been or ever will be.
Unfortunately I wasn’t able to fit “D.W.I.G.H.T. Determined. Worker. Intense. Good worker. Hard worker. Terrific.” all on one cushion. The front shows a picture of Dwight and the back says “Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica.”
This pattern is created using the corner to corner crochet method. I have included an explanation of this method with step-by-step photos in the pattern, as well as a full colour chart to crochet this specific cushion. The crochet stitches needed for this pattern are:
-
Chain stitch, slip stitch
-
Half treble (half double crochet in US)
-
Double crochet (single crochet in US)
The finished piece is 45cm x 45cm. You can use any double knit yarn but the brands I used are
Yellow - King Cole Pricewise DK Mustard (1740) - 3 x 100g
Beige - Paintbox Yarns Simply DK Vanilla Cream (107) - 1 x 100g
Brown - Hayfield Bonus DK Chocolate (947) - 1 x 100g
The pattern is written using UK crochet terminology but there is a conversion table for US terms. The patterns for the front and back are only in chart form. A written equivalent of each chart is not provided.
Other materials required are a 2.5mm crochet hook (or size needed to achieve required tension), yellow 36cm zip, a 45cm by 45cm cushion filler and a darning needle for sewing up.
Although intended as a corner to corner crochet pattern, this chart could also be used for cross stitch or intarsia crochet, although instructions are not included for this.
If you have any questions before or after purchasing, please send me a message and I’ll be happy to help.
