Butterfly-Heron-Lizard Throws
THROW
TO BE ACTIVATED SOON
A set of softly draping throws that offer a choice of unique original motif designs with a natural wilderness theme. Lightweight and breathable, they may be used as a comforting knee rug or baby blanket, or a longer afghan or child’s bed coverlet when the size is adjusted as shown. Extra motifs are provided for larger sizes. The throw is worked in an easy crochet diamond mesh with shell stitches for the motifs, which are incorporated during construction. Construction begins with the central panel, then the surrounding rows are simply continued around all four sides.

Working tip
To mark your place in a complex lace design as you are working it, use a ruler that moves up the page as you work each row. When working from a printout, this can be physical ruler. When working from a digital screen, it can be a line that is drawn with the Comment feature in the Adobe PDF reader. The line is editable, i.e. you can first draw a very short straight line, then stretch it horizontally to cover the full width of the page, then move it upwards as your work progresses up the page.
YARDAGE
For L x W = 100 x 100 cm = 39 x 39 in:
11 x 50 g balls,
where 50 g = 210 m = 230 yd
