The elegant lace shawls of this set make a stunning fashion statement on balmy evenings, offering a choice of unique original designs with a natural wilderness theme. Their fine gauzy mesh drapes softly over bare shoulders, set with opaque motifs that float decoratively. The shawl is worked in an easy crochet diamond mesh with shell stitches for the motifs, which are incorporated during construction. It may be altered in both length and width, with accompanying rearrangement and/or omission of some motifs. The motif charts are generous in length to allow for this, and a blank chart is provided along with easy calculations to adjust for your gauge.

Working tip

The lace design stimulates the mind as it changes constantly without repetition. To mark your place as you work, use a ruler that can be moved up the page with each row.
