Sentosa is a small island located South of Singapore. Its name, in Malay, means “peace and tranquility”.

The Sentosa Socks are knit from the toe up, and feature a gusset and an eye of partridge heel flap. An intuitive and easy to memorize pattern adds a bit of interest.

This pattern includes 3 sizes, called 1, 2 and 3.
The sizes are based on the measurement of the width of your foot at the instep and not on its length. In order to determine your sock size, measure your foot girth at the instep:

Size 1: 20-22 cm (8”).
Size 2: 22.5-24 cm (9”).
Size 3: 24.5-27 cm (10”).

100 g (350-400 m (382-437 yd)) of fingering weight sock yarn (containing 10-25% nylon). Both samples are made for a 24 cm long foot, size 2, and the leg is 13 cm long from the end of the flap in both cases.

For the blue pair I have used 75 g (around 260 m (285 yd) of Parkour Kitties MCN (350 m (382 yd) in 100 g) in the Swimming with Ponyo colourway; and for the pink pair I have used 70 g (around 280 m (306 yd) of Chileknitz Cuddly Sock (400 m (437 yd) in 100 g) in the Bikini colourway.
