Knit your very own bear rug - much easier than hunting and processing a live bear! The American Black Bear actually comes in many colors. Here in California, I’ve seen more brown black bears than anything else, so I chose brown for mine. But feel free to experiment, I’m sure there’s a purple and pink bear out there somewhere… ;)

This pattern is knit with a bulky yard held triple (knitting off 3 skeins at once) to achieve the gauge. The skein requirements are 15 skeins of the main color and 3 skeins of the contrast color. You will definitely have leftovers in the contrast color. You could potentially double up with a super bulky yarn, or not have to double up at all with a jumbo yarn. Endless possibilities.
