This classically styled button up cardigan pattern is for dolls such as the 18” American Girl doll and similar. Use of a light worsted weight yarn allows for a detailed and realistically proportioned sweater which is not too bulky on the doll.

It features neck down knitting, with double increases for sleeves, and is seamless except for the underarm of the sleeves. Five small buttons for closure, and ribbing at neck, sleeves, & hem. Instructions for left handed knitters on the buttonholes is included in the pattern.

This pattern is suitable for advanced beginners to intermediate level knitters.
