This was a collaboration design by Andeea Rae and Pearl Knit Purl who you can find here https://www.ravelry.com/stores/pearlknitpurl

This cardigan was inspired by my grandma Carol. She taught me how to sew by hand when I was very young. She is incredibly talented and inspires me everyday! My creativity surely comes from this amazing woman! This cardigan is simple and has a beautiful flattering drape! It can also be worn upside down for a cropped look.

The Carol Cardee is started at the bottom of the back, until each sleeve is cast on. German short row shaping is used to give the sleeves a dolman sleeve appearance. To finish this piece, cast off the sleeves and shoulders and make a neck flap that is sewn down for a comfortable finishing touch. The front flaps are knit with two yarns held together and knit in a 1x1 rib.
Design Tip: Make front flaps using a single strand of dk weight instead of two contrasting colors.

Yarn Used:
MC: knit picks paragon in black (50% merino, 25% alpaca, 25% mulberry silk)
CC 1: madeline tosh merino light (100% merino wool)
