Knit a cute and quick Christinagle from scraps of DK yarn. The orange is knitted flat and seamed, and you have a choice of two styles of fruit.
You can make it to stand up or to hang on your Christmas tree by added a loop.
If you’ve never seen a Christingle before, look out for a Christingle service at your local church in the run up to Christmas, but here’s a run-down (also, yarn colours you will need):
Orange: The orange stands for God’s wonderful world.
Red: The red ribbon shows that the world is hurting and needs mending.
Various: The four fruits represent the four seasons/directions, meaning that God is in all times and all places.
White: The candle is on top of the world, meaning that God is king.
Yellow: The flame shows that Jesus is the light of the whole world.
