This festive slouchy hat is worked in the round from the ribbed brim to the crown. Decrease rows are worked into single colour rest rows between charted stranded sections. The crown is cinched and made merry with a large pompom.

Worked in the round from the brim to crown, the hat is 18.5(21.25)”/ 47(54)cm around, and should fit with 1-2” (2.5-5 cm) negative ease.

Materials:
Yarn: Cascade 220 Superwash , 100% Superwash Wool, 220y/ 200m; 100g/ 3.5 oz. DK. 1 ball of each MC, CC1, CC2, CC3. Sample shown in MC “Really Red 809;” CC1 “Rose Petal 838;” CC2 “Christmas Green 864;”and CC3 “White 871.”

Tools:
US 6 (4mm) 16” (40cm) circular and double
pointed needles, in style(s) suitable for working 18- 22” circumference, and small circumferences, in the round. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain gauge. US 4 (3.5mm) 16” (40cm) circular or double pointed needles for working 18- 22” circumference in the round. Use needle 2 sizes smaller than larger needle used for obtaining gauge. Stitch marker; tapestry needle; large pompom maker (optional).

Gauge:
24 sts/26 rows over 4”(10cm) in stranded stockinette using US 6 (4mm) needles.
