Shawl features modified Sunspots pattern. Purl decreases are symmetrical, k3tog is replaced by a mirror of sl1-k2tog-psso.

Shawl ends with a modified Arrowhead edging. The modifications are aimed at creating an edging that flows naturally from the shawl body repeats.

Shawl is worked from the top down. It begins with a Garter Tab Cast On. Provisional Cast On is recommended for this tab.

Shawl features a 2 sts garter stitch edging which forms the top horizontal line of the shawl.

Shawl increases 4 sts every other row — inside garter stitch edgings and on each side of the center stitch.

This shawl can be scaled larger or smaller by working more or less repeats of Chart 2. If increasing the size of your shawl, note that you will require more meterage than the listed amount.

Lace patterns are charted only. All odd-numbered rows fall on the RS of fabric and are read from right to left. All even-numbered rows fall on the WS of fabric and are read from left to right.
