Cock-a-Hoop Definition
To be extremely happy, elated or excited about something!
This is the perfect description of my time at Lay Family Yarns. I was cock-a-hoop about the whole process of planning the pattern, the yarn and then actually travelling to Ironbridge in the UK to dye it. Knitting the sample pair of socks during the rest of the trip was a joy!

This is another one of my patterns that looks way more complicated and impressive than it actually is! Every 2nd round is plain knitting with the alternate rounds being a simple rib and lace pattern. It is so fun to see the speckles and variegated yarn play in the pattern.

The sock is knit from the top down with a garter edge slipped stitch heel flap and traditional gusset. I finished it with my version of a rounded toe.

Small 56 stitch, (Medium 64 stitch, Large 72 stitch).
7 (8, 9) inches / 18 (20.25, 23) cm,approximate foot circumference.

I used a sock set 100g Main Colour & 2 x 10g Contrast Colours from Lay Family Yarn in the Cock-a-Hoop colour. Big thanks to Kelly & Nick for letting me loose in the dye studio.
