This Coffee Mug shaped Cozy is designed to fit over the bowl of a stand mixer. The mixing tools can be stored in the bowl below, hidden from view to reduce visual clutter in the kitchen and keep out dust and debris.

Different brands of mixers have different sized bowls, so I’ve included instructions on how to make this cozy according to the measurements of your bowl. The width and height of the mixing bowl is all you need.

The pattern gives instruction on how to make both the solid colored coffee mug, and the Retro diner style striped mug.

You’ll need 4-weight acrylic yarn in at least two colors. Dark brown for the coffee, and whatever color you desire for the Mug. If you choose to add the stripes, you’ll need a detail color as well. For the red solid colored Mug I used 4 ounces of a 7 ounce skein of Red Heart Super Saver to give you an idea of how much yarn you’ll need. The coffee circle takes much less.

I used an H-8 (5 mm) hook in this project. The yarn recommends an I-9 (5.5 mm) hook. Use whatever hook gives you nice sturdy stitches. I crochet loosely, so I went down a size.
