Colour Swatch Socks is a fun and lively colourwork design perfect for using up scrap sock yarns and yarn advents. The colour combination options are endless.

Any 4-ply / fingering weight sock yarn will work for this design. The main colour of the sample shown is knitted in Drops Nord (Shade 03 Pearl Grey Mix) 45% Alpaca, 30% Polyamide and 25% Wool with a mix of 6 hand dyed sock yarns. All sock yarn scraps are 75% Superwash Merino 25% Nylon ( scraps from Blue Fern Yarns and Wild Rose Yarns).

Approximate quantities for;
UK size 4 - 8 EU 37 - 41 US 6 -10
70g / 240m (265 yrds) Main Colour
6 x 5g / 20m (22 yrds) Contrast Colours

2.5mm / US 1.5 DPNs or circular needles for magic loop. Use needles of your preference to achieve advised gauge.

This design is knitted cuff down with a ribbed slip stitch heel flap and wedge toe. There is an easy to follow colourwork chart and in this pattern there is a stitch count for 3 sizes;
Finished circumference size once blocked.
Small - circumference 17.5 cm / 6.75”
Medium - circumference 20 cm / 7.75”
Large 72 - circumference 22.5 cm / 8.75”
Recommend to select a size with 1cm/ 0.25” of negative ease.
