The Cotton Candy Tee is an oversize swing tee that is knitted from the top down with a seamless yoke. You will start by knitting the neckband, and then the yoke. Once the yoke increases are complete, the body is separated and the sleeves are put on hold while you knit the body. The sleeves are knitted last on DPNS, short circulars, or the Magic Loop method. The entire tee is knitted in stockinette stitch with an i-cord bind off.

SIZES:
Child’s chest circumference: 40.5 (43) 45.5 (53) 58.5 (63.5) 67 (71) cm / 16 (17) 19 (21) 23 (25) 26.5 (28) in

The tee is designed with approx. 2” of of positive ease to give it a relaxed fit. If your child is very close to the next size, I would recommend sizing up to give them more wear time. You can adjust the length to fit your child how you wish, but you may need more yarn than suggested.

YARN:
Worsted Weight (4) Yarn - I used The Pima Cotton from We Are Knitters in the Yarnicorn colorway. Any yarn that meets gauge will be fine! DK should work, too.
Yards: appox. 230 (260) 340 (380) 460 (520) 660 (740) yards
Keep in mind that if you add extra length to your top, you will need more yarn.

NOTIONS:
US 4 (3.5mm) needles for the neckband and bind offs, US 6 (4.0mm) needles for the body, 16-24” circulars, DPNS, 9” circulars, or Magic Loop for sleeves.
Scissors, tapestry needle, stitch marker, waste yarn for putting sleeves on hold
