The Country Garden Sampler Blanket is designed to look like a country estate scene. From the central lawn, to the flower beds bordering it, trellises, corner gardens and all of it surrounded by a butterfly-filled blue sky. All created using dozens of different crochet stitches and techniques for you to try out in small manageable portions.

The Country Garden blanket was originally released as a crochet along in 2022 and was released in 37 parts both as free patterns on my blog and here as the ad free paid pattern. The blog posts are still available free to access here and both versions of the pattern are written with step by step instructions with pictures to guide you through making each stitch. Each part of the blanket also has an accompanying video to show how it’s made step by step which are all available on YouTube for anyone to watch.

This pattern would suit an intermediate level crocheter.

The Country Garden blanket uses Aran / Worsted / Weight 4 yarn and a 5mm hook. I’ve used 16 different colours for my blankets using Paintbox Cotton Aran and Caron Simply Soft which required 2,500 meters / 2,750 yards of yarn in total, which made my blanket measure 105cm x 125cm using a gauge of 18 stitches and 7 rows per 10cm using double crochet.
