The Crochet Bow Scarf pattern makes a long, fully reversible and extra warm winter scarf that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing, using two contrasting colours of DK weight yarn.

The length is designed to be generous enough to allow for various styling choices, but is easily customizable (if for example, you are constrained by the amount of yarn). Feel free to play around with different colour combinations and lengths. An extra short scarf might be just as cute as what I suggest in this pattern.

This scarf is designed to be:

  • Reversible (no ugly side)
  • Extra warm & dense (no holes!)
  • Generous in length, enough to allow for various styling choices (but easily modified)
  • Customizable (Make it in your own signature colour combo or your current favourite colours! Easily modify length, or use different yarns to customize the scarf. Pattern includes a helpful guide to alternative fibre choices)
  • Easy to make (simple technique, easy repetition, detailed instructions)
  • Versatile, practical, and durable (Dress it up with a wool coat for a fall day or a down with a puffer for a super cold winter day. The simple silhouette allows matching with many outfits while the bold graphic keeps things from being basic or boring! I wanted this scarf to be a cozy, high-quality winter staple for years to come.)

Skill level:
Easy, but not for the total beginner. Having prior experience with tapestry crochet or crochet colourwork is recommended, but it is not required.
