★ You asked for it: the viral stitch, as a hat

After my TikTok video on this stitch went viral, I had so many requests for a pattern. I’d already been enjoying it for months with patterns planned, so here it is!

This stitch is so relaxing and rhythmic, and I hope you find it as soothing as I do. Sizes run from newborn to adult. Free on my blog too.

✨ What makes it work

• Knit look, all crochet. The crochet knit purl stitch gives a cozy, knit-like texture.
• Five sizes. Newborn through adult.
• Pompom on top. Use a faux fur pompom or make your own.
• You’re not on your own. Video tutorial and written pattern included.

✂️ What you’ll need

• Yarn: Swish Worsted, WeCrochet (worsted, 100% superwash merino, 110 yds/50g). Colors shown: Copper and Dove Heather
• Yardage: 105 (150, 175, 200, 250) yds, or 1 (2, 2, 2, 3) skeins
• Hook: H (5.0mm)
• Tools: Removable Stitch Marker · Yarn Needle · Scissors
• To finish like the sample: Faux Fur Pom Pom

✿ Sizes

• Newborn (Baby, Toddler, Child or Small Adult, Adult)
• Head circumference: 13” to 14” (16” to 17”, 18” to 19”, 20” to 21”, 22” to 23”)
