Croft Hoose Hap
I love old haps and shawls. It is always a pleasure to see so many during Shetland Wool Week and there is one especially that I love to see. It is the croft hoose hap. There are actually two of them knitted by the same woman and gifted to family members.
My mother and I were given permission to make a reproduction.
We have designed a new hap which is not an exact replica as both of the old haps are slightly different. It is inspired by the original ones with some changes made and the method by which it is joined together.
It uses 10 balls of yarn
Finished size – 120cm x 120cm/47in x 47in square
