My inspiration
When knitting for others, I much prefer to get them involved in the design. So, off I went to my local yarn store one Saturday afternoon with my teenager. She was a bit overwhelmed at first, so I got her to start with the ‘face test’ - feel the yarn against your cheek and pick the ones that just feel good. She liked this shade of red - not too bright. Luckily the yarn store had a few sample squares and she liked this seed (moss) stitch. A tight fitting short sweater was her choice. Did a quick design on KnitAnything.com, where it gives a pretty good estimate on the yardage/meterage needed.
