Damask shawl
This PDF file contains “Damask triangular shawl” charts and full instructions for knitting the shawl using traditional Haapsalu shawl technology, guidance of the process, assembly and finishing of the shawl. The file does contain written instructions for the patterns. Instructions for size adjustment are available as well.
The main body and edge lace patterns can be used for any other type of shawl knitting.
Damask shawl pattern is inspired by damask lily and the shawl can be used in the form of a shawl, a pashmina or a scarf.
For the shawl a cobweb-weight yarn is recommended (1400-1500m/100g, 1530-1640 yds/100g) with a needle size 3mm for the main body and 4mm for the edge lace. The file contains a knitting needle size conversion chart for metric/US/UK/JPN needles. Approximate size (depending on the knitting tension) 120cmx120cm, height 85cm, diagonal 170cm
