Dewdrop Blanket
Dewdrop blanket is a simple and beginner-friendly blanket that is knitted in moss-stitch. Optionally, you can use Italian cast on and Italian bind off for an extra pretty and elastic edge, but you can skip this if you want to reduce the level of difficulty The combination of Sandnes Garn Double Sunday held together with Sandnes Garn Kos gives a very thick blanket without it being too heavy. Thick needles and yarn make the blanket both quick and easy to knit.

The blanket comes in three different sizes: mini (40x60 cm), small (60x80 cm) and large (90x100 cm). Size mini is suitable as a doll blanket, size small is suitable for a small baby blanket and size large is a spacious baby/child blanket. I have knitted size large for both of my children, and they have used the blankets for sleeping outside in the winter from when they were newborns until they stopped sleeping during the day. The blankets are still in the car, on the sofa and sometimes in bed on the coldest days. If you have the opportunity, I recommend knitting the largest size, so you have a blanket that will last for years.

The stated knitting tension and yarn quantity are indicated if you want to knit to exact measurements, but since this is a simple moss-stitch blanket, it is not a big deal if you end up a little off gauge - it usually turns out nicely anyway.

The beige blanket in the picture is knitted in Sandnes Garn Double Sunday in the color 2321 Marsipan together with a thread of Sandnes Garn Kos in the color 2611 Lys Beigemelert. The brown blanket is knitted in Sandnes Garn Double Sunday in the color 3880 Dark Chocolate together with Sandnes Garn Kos in the color 2390 Forest Brown.
