Welcome to my happy rainbow blanket!

This is easily modified, and I suggest you make it much smaller. I used 33 balls of yarn, and it’s big enough for my king sized bed. Unfortunately I made it for my kiddo, and her bed is between a single and double.

I used Cascade Pacific held together on a 10.5 needle. An easy way to go smaller would be to hold your yarn single and use a US 7 or 8.

Be wary of the yarn. I bought it because it’s washable and has some wool in it, and the colours are great. While knitting it I found it splitty, and my son’s hat made from the scraps is quite pilly. I suggest using your favourite washable blend and going from there.

Note- the needle size and gauge are more guidelines. I never thought of writing this out, but was asked after posting some pictures. Use whatever needles give you a gauge you’re happy with.

Happy knitting!
