Some information about yardage and picking up stitches-
There are 2 multi coloured skeins and the solid blue, I used up all of the yarn except for few yards. That’s including the fringe. So about 425m solid, and 850m total for the multi (425 each).

For the third set of triangles you aren’t picking up as many stitches as you would think. It’s due to stretching and the row gauge vs stitch gauge. If you pick up one for every row it gets bunchy. It’s flexible though, a few more or less than the pattern will still work out.

New version uploaded Feb 12/19. Fixed the mistake in the second triangles- they are garter stitch, not stockinette. Also added in a colouring sheet made by the amazing miryenne to help with choosing your colours!

KAL of Geometry shawl is starting March 1st. Pattern price is reduced from $8.00 until the start of the KAL. Join me in my group- Ilikestring designs and enjoy!

This is a pattern based on some sketches of triangles I made during a meeting. It starts with the centre triangle, then 3 new triangles are picked up and knit from the centre. This happens again a third time before starting on the “wings” of the shawl.

When I knit the sample, I used up all three balls of Opal (including fringe). I suggest having extra, checking gauge, or using Wollmeise, where you just start out ahead. Alternatively, you can knit this using a variety of leftovers.

I have visions of this shawl in many different colours, and I hope that they can all come to life.
