Dog Days 3 is a small kerchief. It can be worn as a headwrap or as a neckerchief, or worn by a dog as a dog bandana, provided your dog doesn’t eat bandanas and you really like your dog, enough to knit him or her a scarf.

Because it is so small and works up so fast, this design also serves as an excellent primer for diagonally-knit triangle shawl construction.

The .PDF includes 3 sizes—small, medium, and large—so you can dial in the fit. I’d recommend a little bit of negative ease, about 2” with regards to head circumference, if you want to wear it as a headband, so you may want to knit the smallest size

Materials:
About 80-120 yards of Malabrigo Yarn Rios (colorway shown: 011, Apple)
1 16” circular needle in US7-8/4.5-5.0mm, or size needed for gauge
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Gauge:
Gauge is 17 sts and 24 rows over moss stitch! Gauge is pretty important to the fit of this kerchief. Please be sure to check your gauge.
