Dory is semi-circular shawl that is worked from top center down. Technique-wise, it is all garter zigzags with some centered decreases/increases, short rows, and slipped stitches (a few, here and there).

Materials: You will need fingering- or sport weight yarn in three (or four) colors:

  • 100 g/350-400m: of color A (light blue and yellow (color D in the description). I planned to use the same color for those, but changed my mind. If you decide to use different colors, split that amount in half for each).
  • 100g/350-400m of color B (medium blue); and 100g/350-400m of color C (dark blue). You will also need 5mm circular needles with 1 meter long wire.

Gauge: about 22 stitches and 28 rows = 10cm
in garter stich.
Size: the shawl is 165cm across, drops 75cm.
