This beautiful design was inspired by the traditional double wedding ring quilts. Make your blanket as large as you like by following the repeats. See more details (like yardage info) on my website here: https://ashleeslint.com/2022/02/25/double-wedding-rings-crochet-square-or-blanket-pattern/

Now updated to include center-out instructions for both techniques! Read more about that update: https://ashleeslint.com/?p=6334

You will receive four files:

  • the interlocking line-by-line instructions, with a one-page chart (81 x 81), repeatable to any width and height,
  • the overlay mosaic line-by-line instructions (including instructions for an envelope border) and a multi-page chart (77 x 77) marked with X’s for mosaic crochet (also repeatable for any width and height),
  • the center-out instructions and chart for the interlocking technique,
  • the center-out pattern and X-marked chart for the overlay mosaic crochet technique.

The Locked Filet Mesh (LFM) interlocking crochet method uses only chain spaces and double crochets to create a mesh; two colors are worked alternately which creates the pattern.

Mosaic crochet uses single crochet and double crochet stitches. The double crochet stitches cover some of the other color’s single crochet stitches to create the design. My patterns instruct you to cut your yarn at the end of each row. The back is striped but often gives a faint impression of the pattern on the front (sort of like illusion knitting). See an example here.

Both techniques can also be done from the center-out!

I have tutorials available for all four crochet methods. Follow this link to get to my YouTube channel and find my other social links.
