Duet II is a fun knit using the simplest of techniques and some gorgeous Malabrigo Arroyo. How can you go wrong?

Of course you can imagine this in any colour combination and any choice of Sport/DK weight yarn. The choices are entirely up to you.

The stitches are simple because they use the mosaic stitch method of colourwork. You will be working with only one colour at a time in each round. Easy peasy even if you are new to this type of knitting. This pattern is written out in full row-by-row and does not use charts.

Duet II is the second sister pattern to the original Harmonize design which is in Fingering weight.
Duet is in Worsted weight.

Measurements: After blocking: approx. 68 cm/27” bottom edge, 56 cm/22” neck opening,
20 cm/8” height.
Gauge: Before blocking: 22 stitches x 32rows = 10 cm/4” square in stocking stitch with
4 mm/US 6 needles. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain gauge.

Yarns Used:
Malabrigo Arroyo Pure 100% Merino Superwash, Sport (12 wpi).
305 meters/335 yards, 100 grams.

Colour (A) 048 Glitter
Approx. 40 to 45 grams.

Colour (B) 128 Fresco Y Seco
Approx. 40 to 45 grams.

Note: I found their Sport to be very similar to most DK.

Needles and supplies:
3.5 mm/US 4 circular needles 60 cm/24” long. (for the garter borders to help prevent flipping).
4 mm/US 6 circular needles 60 cm/24” long. (for the body (stocking stitch sections) of the cowl).
4.5 mm/US 7 circular needles 60 cm/24” long. (for the mosaic stitches to prevent these sections
from knitting too tightly and pulling in).
16 stitch markers, one being a different colour to mark start of rounds.
Tapestry needle.
