The eclair bolero is the perfect edition to your closet if you tend to have cold arms but a warm body c: It also serves as a way for sweater lovers to wear something similar during warmer weather! While the bolero features a chunky bowtie in the front, instructions for a normal front are included in the pattern.

The pattern will include: written instructions, photo instructions (step-by-step) & links to YouTube videos that may be helpful while you work on your eclair bolero. You can also always contact me on Instagram by.redbean or email at byredbean@gmail.com if you have any further questions.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A PATTERN PDF; NOT A PHYSICAL ITEM.

Notes:

  • Language: English
  • Terminology: US
  • Level of difficulty: confident beginners and up! this is a made-to-measure pattern, but does not require math c: If you’re a beginner who knows crochet basics and is up for a more challenging project, this would be perfect for you!
  • Skills: basic crochet stitches, increasing, light seaming (only 1 seam).
  • Pattern is made-to-measure to ensure that the garment will fit you how you’d like. Therefore, there are no exact stitch or row counts in the pattern.

Materials:

  • Recommended yarn: DK weight (size 3) yarn. For reference, I used Hobbii Friends Silk Cotton Print in Color 07. (I found this yarn to be thinner than DK as it felt more like sport weight yarn.)
    • Please see tester photos to estimate how much yarn you will need.
  • Recommended hook size: Recommended hook size: 3.5mm hook or any hook that matches the yarn weight/size you’re using.
  • Tape measure, scissors, yarn needle & stitch markers.
