Eibhir is a small, lightweight scarf worked back and forth in one piece with integrated i-cord edge. The three sizes allow it to be worn wrapped once around the neck and tied with short tails (small), wrapped once around the neck with long tails, or twice around the neck and tied with short tails (medium), or twice around the neck with long tails (large). Eibhir can be knit in one colour, or in contrasting colours to highlight the slipped stitches. Eibhir is the Gaelic word for granite, often used to build castles in Scotland. The slip stitch pattern evoking the stonework of these beautiful buildings.
