Sgàthan
Sgàthan is a möbius cowl knitted in two-colour brioche stitch in the round to give a mirror effect between the two colours (“sgàthan” is the Gaelic word for “mirror”). This means you’ll never have to choose which side to wear as both are visible at the same time!
The pattern is worked in 20-stitch repeats so can easily be adapted to the length desired by adding or removing pattern repeats. The stitch count remains the same throughout.
The small and large sizes produce a cowl that either sits snugly around the neck, or a longer cowl/scarf that is a little more versatile and can be wrapped twice around your neck.
