Note: This is the DK VERSION of the Elisabet Hat

Inspired by a sweater seen in Nancy Drew: Sea of Darkness, this hat pattern uses stranded colorwork in 3 colors to create crosses, zigzigs, and diamond motifs.

Knit from the bottom up, starting with a long-tail cast-on, the pattern is good for those wanting to explore colorwork a little more. 

Available in 5 sizes:
-Child 1/Toddler: 16” head circumference
-Child 2: 18” head circumference
-Adult S: 20” head circumference
-Adult M: 22” head circumference
-Adult L: 24” head circumference

Gauge swatch is knit in the round using the larger size needles.

Required materials: 
-16” circulars in US size 4 and 5, or size to meet gauge
-double pointed needles in US size 5, or size to meet gauge (OPTIONAL)
-stitch markers
-scissors
-yarn/tapestry needle

Approximate yarn amounts per size:
Child 1: 50 yds MC, 15 yds CC1, 40 yds CC2
Child 2: 65 yds MC, 20 yds CC1, 45 yds CC2
Adult S: 70 yds MC, 20 yds CC1, 55 yds CC2
Adult M: 80 yds MC, 20 yds CC1, 70 yds CC2
Adult L: 110 yds MC, 20 yds CC1, 80 yds CC2

Hat shown in photo is an Adult L, and uses < 1 skein each of Knit Picks Swish DK in colorways Mimic and Arctic, and Wooldreamers Cautiva in colorway 1526G.
