Eloelai Corner-to-Corner Blanket with Ruffled Edge
I love the soft, cushiony feeling of the corner-to-corner stitch, so I decided to use it for a baby blanket as a colleague of mine was on maternity leave. As I was making her blanket, I realised that a cosy throw for my bed would look great in c2c too, so I hooked one up in this lovely oatmeal as a side project. (Molly the cat thinks it’s great!)
This blanket has the added embellishment of a frilled edge to finish it off.
Skill level: Beginner
Size: One size fits all
Supplies:
For the white baby blanket: -Sirdar Snuggly double knit shade 0251. (I used 5 x 50g balls, but it depends how big you want your blanket.)
For the oatmeal bed cover: -Loren Aran Yarn Flecks shade M005080. (I used 8 x 200g balls, but again, it depends how big you want your finished blanket. My bed is a king size, so I made mine 5ft square.)
Hook: 3mm (baby blanket) 5 mm (bed blanket)
Gauge: tension is not critical for this pattern
Stitches used: foundation chain (fc)/chain (ch)/slip stitch (ss)/stitch (st)/double crochet (dc)/ treble crochet (tr)
