Enclose is designed for layering. The garment features woven stitch with contrasting rows of colour, and a band of linen stitch which provides a sturdy structural edge. The garment can be knitted with contrasting armhole bands for a sleeveless option, or wide mid or full length sleeves. When worn closed the wrap has a boxy shape, but this becomes A-line if worn open. It can be fastened with an I-cord closure, toggle, shawl or kilt pin.

Recommend 10-20 cm (4-8 inches) positive ease, but can be worn with less if worn open. Image shows size 4 garment worn with 15cm/6 inches of ease.
Enclose is knitted bottom up in pieces on circular needles so that stitches can be slid to the other end of the needle to prevent excessive yarn breakage when knitting single contrast rows. After seaming, stitches are picked up to work the bands.

Recommended yarns: Heavy worsted or aran weight yarns with at least 50% wool to maintain shape.

Skills required:
Knit, purl, increasing and decreasing, slipping stitches
Cast-on, sloped shoulder bind off
Working small circumferences in the round (sleeveless version only)
