Hi, my name is Janine and I am the New Zealand designer behind the label Conexus Knits. Conexus is a latin word that means “to tie or bind together”. It reflects not only the mechanical process that creates the architecture of stitches, but the magic that happens when we knit together.

Having knitted for 30 plus years, I decided to take the plunge in designing in 2018 after completing Level 3 Hand Knit Textiles and Design Certificate through City and Guild. I love finer details, thoughtful shapes, and lace motifs. I believe that good fit is really important, and so where possible my designs have an extended range of sizes. I produce video tutorials for some of the components of my patterns.
