Essence Beanie
Double-Layer Beanie
A classic double-layer machine-knit beanie.
The double-layer construction creates a warm, lightweight, and fully reversible hat with no visible wrong side. One or both layers can be worked in the same color, or the second layer can be knitted in a contrasting shade for two different looks in a single beanie.
Every major step is accompanied by a video tutorial, making even the more technical techniques easy to follow.
The pattern includes two different crown constructions, allowing you to choose the finishing method that best suits your knitting style.
Option A – Seamless Crown
Fully fashioned decreases worked directly on the knitting machine
No crown seams
Clean, professional finish
Option B – Seamed Wedge Crown
Crown shaped with fully fashioned decreases worked in individual wedges
