You can crochet your own fairy bird according to this pattern.
Why fairy? Because to me (and to my friends) it reminds of childhood, illustrations from children’s folk tales, pottery and paintings on Ukrainian ceramics.
Also I can’t tell what kind of bird it is. Similar to a phoenix, a golden firebird or a duck.

MATERIALS and INSTRUMENTS:
1. semi-cotton yarn (weight category 2: Fine, type Sport, 5 ply, 12 wpi):

  • light-orange color (for head, body, tail and wings) – 0,8 oz / 23 g,
  • emerald color (for wings, tail) – 0,3 oz / 8 g,
  • red color (for beak) – 0,04 oz / 1 g,
  • orange color (for wings, tail and forelock) – 0,3 oz / 8 g,
  • white color (for embroidering the whites of the eyes) – a small piece;
  1. fiberfill (I used hollow fiber);
  2. thin black yarn for embroidering the eye lashes (embroidery yarn DMC / YarnArt Iris / sewing thread / similar thread);
  3. a pair of plastic eyes on a secure mount, d = 9 mm;
  4. crochet hook. I use 2mm size to metric size range, size B-1 to U.S. size range;
  5. scissors;
  6. tapestry needle (metallic or plastic needle with a blunt end);
  7. thin metal sharp needle for embroidery;
  8. pins for fixing details;
  9. round’s counter (optional).
