MATERIALS:
1. Yarns (Yarn Weight: A (24-26 stitches), 5 ply, Sport, Fine, 12 wpi).
I use:

  • for light owl: Alize Cotton Gold Tweed (57% cotton + 40% acrylic + 3% polyester; 12992in/361yd/330m; 3,53oz/100g) color 01 milk (for inner part of the head and breast); Alize Cotton Gold (55% cotton + 45% acrylic; 12992in/361yd/330m; 3,53oz/100g) color 688 coffee melange (for outer part of the head, body, wings, ears and tail); Gazzal Baby Cotton (60% cotton + 40% acrylic; 6496in/175yd/165m; 1,76oz/50g) color 3412 peach (for beak);

  • for dark owl: Alize Cotton Gold (55% cotton + 45% acrylic; 12992in/361yd/330m; 3,53oz/100g) color 67 light beige (for inner part of the head and breast); Yarn Art Jeans (55% cotton + 45% acrylic; 6299in/175yd/160m; 1,76oz/50g) color 70 dark brown (for outer part of the head, body, wings, ears and tail); Gazzal Baby Cotton (60% cotton + 40% acrylic; 6496in/175yd/165m; 1,76oz/50g) color 3435 pink coral (for beak);

  1. thin yarn for embroidery eyes. I use Yarn Art Iris (100% cotton; 5433in/151yd/138m; 0,7oz/20g) color 935 black. You can use other yarn of suitable thickness (such as embroidery or sewing thread);

  2. stuffing materials (I use hollow fiber).

TOOLS:

  1. Crochet hook. I use 2mm size, size B to USA classification. If you crochet with other types of yarn, choose the size of crochet hook suitable for yarn’s thickness;
  2. scissors;
  3. needle for sewing (metal or plastic with blunt end);
  4. needle for embroidery (metal with sharp end);
  5. needles for pinning details;
  6. round’s counter (optional).
