Fall Into You Shrug
As the end of summer nears, we get excited here in Nebraska for several reasons – fall weather which means cooler temps so we can wear our knitwear, apple festivals and of course our beloved Husker football season begins.
This year’s pattern is a compilation of texture and two-color slip stitch mosaic with a small cable. Perfect for the adventurous beginner or any skilled knitter. Pull your arms through the sleeves and off you go! Or choose the narrow version to turn it into a scarf to wrap around yourself.
Even if you’re not a Husker fan, try choosing 6 other color combinations that have a high contrast or use 3 different shades in the same color family. Any combination would be great for this project.
Vintage DK in three colors – red (A) 2 skeins, gray (B) 2 skeins, white (C) 3 skeins. Highly recommended
that Yarn A has a good contrast to Yarn B while Yarn C is the neutral color that goes well with both A &
B. In sample shown, 200 g of white, 200 g of red and 75 g of gray was used.
Wide Version - approximately 24” x 52” after blocking – You can adjust this poncho wrap to make it
longer or shorter by adjusting the # of repeats (more or less) in section 4 & 10 – this will be an
adjustment that will need to be symmetrical. If you choose to make it longer you may have to use more
yarn C.
Narrow Version – approximately 12” x 60” – You can choose to make it shorter or longer by adjusting
the # of repeats in sections 4 & 10.
