This rectangular wrap is a good late-summer project. It involves a middle section of mindless garter stitch, with symmetrical lace detailing at each end of the wrap. Stitches are provisionally cast on, the garter section is completed, and one of the lace ends are finished. The knitter will then go back and pick up the live stitches from the provisional cast on, and complete the second lace end.

Size: Instructions are for one size. Easily adaptable to a longer or shorter length, depending on number of garter rows in between the two lace edges.

Yarn: Rohrspatz & Wollmeise Sockenwolle 80/20 Twin in Golden Pear (510 yards = 1 skein) and Natural (300 yards = 0.6 skein)

Needles: US 2 (2.75mm) or size needed to obtain gauge

Gauge: 19 sts and 23 rows = 4x4 inch square in garter st (knit every row)
