FALLAL cowl
There is a matching hat which is available on it’s own or as part of an ebook.
SKILL:
According to the CYC, cables are an intermediate knitting skill but I think an adventurous beginner could tackle this. :)
YARN:
Approx 250-275 yds (230-255 m) of bulky weight yarn.
Sample uses Quince & Co, Puffin in Honey.
GAUGE:
14 sts x 19 rows = 4” / 10 cm in stocking stitch with larger needles, blocked
Note: This is a looser gauge than I would normally use for this yarn because I wanted the cowl to be soft and floppy (in good way).
NEEDLES:
US #10½ / 6.5 mm and US #8 / 5 mm or size needed to obtain gauge
ADDITIONAL TOOLS:
1 stitch marker to indicate beginning of rnd, cable needle
FINISHED DIMENSIONS:
Approx 24”/61 cm around x 10”/25.5 cm high. The circumference will be affected by your yarn choice and how much is does or doesn’t relax your cables when blocking.
Pattern is fully charted and has complete written instructions.
The pattern is set up so you don’t need to print every page so look before printing. :)
FALLAL - fal-lal - a bit of finery; a showy article of dress
