This pattern is for a knit cowl with an eyelet motif inspired by the book Fourth Wing.

Written for 4 weights: Bulky, Light Bulky, Worsted, & DK.

Finished cowl drapes when worn, making it a great casual-wear accessory.

Level: Advanced beginner/Intermediate

Skills required:
-Knitting in the round
-Increase and decrease stitches, including yarn over and passing slipped stitch over
-Binding off in the round
-Blocking

Yarn:
-Bulky – 130-160 yards (example: Malabrigo Noventa)
-Light Bulky – 150-180 yards (example: Malabrigo Mecha)
-Worsted – 170-200 yards (example: Malabrigo Worsted)
-DK – 200-230 yards (example: Malabrigo Silky Merino)

Needles:
-Bulky – US10 (6 mm) & US11 (8 mm) 16-24” circular needles
-Light Bulky – US8 (5 mm) & US10 (6 mm) 16-24” circular needles
-Worsted – US6 (4 mm) & US8 (5 mm) 16-24” circular needles
-DK – US4 (3.5 mm) & US6 (4 mm) 16-24” circular needles

Gauge (knit on larger size needles in stockinette, unblocked):
-Bulky – 4x4”/10 cm = 11 sts x 16 rows
-Light Bulky – 4x4”/10 cm = 14 sts x 20 rows
-Worsted – 4x4”/10 cm = 16 sts x 22 rows
-DK – 4x4”/10 cm = 20 sts x 26 rows
