This little knitted bird’s nest is a fast and easy craft that is a lovely accent for your home or makes a very special gift. It only takes about an hour to knit and than maybe another hour to felt in the washer. It’s surprising how natural they look. You’ll need a 16” long #15 circular needle and a set of double pointed needles in size 13. The base yarn has to be 100% wool, just 44-50 yards. Then you dig through your scraps of yarns from other projects, any type, any weight and novelty yarns (ie: eyelash) to carry along with the wool. Throw in an assortment of various craft fibers and narrow ripped strips of left over fabric, string and jute twine and voila! it’s almost instant gratification.
